Lady: Do you have any elves?
I’m used to all sorts of requests… bees, snakes, ravens… but I wasn’t sure how I was going to pull this one off.
Lady: Aylz.
Me: Eye?
Lady (patiently) Oooh… Double-Ewe… Ayl.
Me (lightbulb): Oh, OWLS! Yes!
Fortunately I did.
We talked about Australia and her upcoming 15 hour flight that evening and the weather in New South Wales.
Then she and the OWL flew off.
Now I want to draw elves
