Pause and Sniff the Rosebud

Van life isn’t all sunshine and roses, but neither is it all doom and gloom. It’s more like partly sunny and rosebuds. Full of potential, but just not here yet.

It’s just a new lifestyle… and it keeps reminding me to slow down getting around this learning curve.

I noticed today, while showing off the new digs, that people really just want the demo version along with the demo. Any “problem” gets swept away by well-meaning promises that “it’ll get better.” I know that, and appreciate it, I really do. It’s just a way more expensive lesson to learn.

It WILL get better… because I say so… I’m not afraid of “problems.”

Side note: it used to drive me crazy when Corporate America couldn’t use that word, and loved to talk about “opportunities” (yeah, we have an opportunity to get rid of this problem!)

I admit I’m talking a lot about the shortcomings that I’m facing… and people have enough on their minds that they don’t really want to hear about them. Rest assured, I’m not Eeyore. I’m not Debbie Downer. I’m just the New Kid in Town who wants to get to this Grand Life “As Seen on TV.”

I’ve got 99 problems and 98 of them are in my way.

Solutions.

I’m talking about problems, but I’m thinking about solutions.

So bear with me. It’s my Chapter 1… and I’ve got a lot of new chapters to write.
