Wind Up Where the Wind Blows

Such a day for tiny wins!

It took less than 20 minutes to get my moving permit at the MVD. I’m so used to the weeks of waiting at the Nevada DMV that I couldn’t believe it. All this on a walk-in, as opposed to NV where you still need to get an appointment for a “walk-in”.

I think “DMV” might be the one that’s backwards!

Now one of the things I love to do these days is to ask people where is their favorite place to eat. The clerk suggested Nana’s Cafe down the street.

What a joy! Literally run by two sweet elderly ladies who greets everybody by name.

When I asked my waitress for her favorite meal, she said without hesitation…

“Biscuits and gravy”

My rule is simple….

Just say YES.

Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Did I mention “yummy”?

I bid them farewell as they greeted Linda coming in, in need of coffee.

My stomach and heart were full.

I then headed straight to downtown, back to the bench where I met Tom, the Boat Captain three months ago.

Taking out my trusty pen and sketch book, that I bought in London, I captured the building across the street and the iconic gazebo that makes me feel at home.

Walking back to my car I was greeted by a bedazzled lock wall, full of color and stories.

Returning to my hotel room, I went back to finishing the edits on my first “From Ashes to Art Shows” video, which took me well into the night. (Check it out in the comments)

The big, big win is right around the corner.
